Manchester United play host to West Ham this weekend in what is set to be a huge game in the race for the top four this season.

With the Hammers sitting two points ahead of United ahead of Saturday’s fixture, Ralf Rangnick’s side have the perfect opportunity to leapfrog their opponents and improve their hopes of clinching a Champions League place this season.

The race for the top four remains tight as David Moyes’ side lead the way heading into the weekend, and the former United boss has been boosted by the return of one of his stars ahead of the clash at Old Trafford.

Moyes confirmed in his pre-match press conference that Tomas Soucek is back after contracting Covid-19, although the Czech will have to undergo a late assessment to see whether he can play against United.

Mark Noble’s knee injury looks as though it will keep him out once again, while Angelo Ogbonna and Kurt Zouma could also be missing for the visitors.

Said Benrahma could be in contention for an early return, with the forward set to make his way back to West Ham after Algeria were knocked out of the Africa Cup of Nations at the group stages.

That could leave him in line for a return to the Hammers’ line-up, although having played on Thursday in his nation’s defeat to Ivory Coast, it’s perhaps more likely he’ll be named on the bench.

Moyes didn’t give any further information on possible absentees, although the West Ham boss did confirm his side had Covid and injury concerns.

Soucek’s return though could be a big boost for the visitors as they look to bounce back from their defeat to Leeds last weekend.

West Ham predicted line-up (4-2-3-1): Fabianski; Coufal, Diop, Dawson, Cresswell; Rice, Soucek; Bowen, Lanzini, Fornals; Antonio.
