GREATER NOIDA: A total of 52 candidates have fled nominations for the three assembly seats of Noida, Dadri and Jewar, where polls are scheduled on February 10.
The maximum, 23 candidates, will contest from Noida, while the Dadri and Jewar constituencies will see 16 and 13 aspirants battle it out.
District magistrate Suhas LY, also the election officer, said some of the candidates had filed multiple nominations to ensure nothing went wrong.

“Even though 52 candidates will contest the elections, our office has received 97 different sets of nomination papers. A number of candidates have submitted multiple nomination forms just to make sure all the fields and information are correct and their candidature is accepted,”he said.
Additional district magistrate (finance and revenue) Vandita Srivastava, the nodal officer for this election in the district, will scrutinise the nomination forms and release the final list on the evening of January 24. “In case the mandated information or details are not there, the forms will be rejected. The remaining ones will contest,” said Srivastava.
After the list is released, candidates willing to pull out of the fray will have time till January 27 to make the final decision. The actual number of candidates will be known only after that.
Meanwhile, putting speculations to rest, the Rashtriya Lok Dal candidate from Jewar, Avtar Singh Bhadana, submitted his nomination papers on Friday morning. Bhadana, the RLD and SP coalition candidate, will be up against sitting BJP MLA Dhirendra Singh.
