Community Bank names retail regional banking manager

Community Bank has announced that Lisa Allenson has been promoted to Retail Regional Banking Manager. In her new role, Allenson will be responsible for oversight and growth of Community Bank’s Western New York market, including its 35 branches in Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, Allegany, Wyoming and Erie counties.

Allenson began her banking career as a teller with Norstar/Fleet. She joined the Community Bank team as a Retail Services Officer in 2001 as part of its Fleet acquisition. Her career at Community Bank has progressed, moving into the positions of commercial loan officer, branch manager, district manager and senior district manager.

“Lisa’s well-deserved promotion will provide additional support and development of the West Market branches,” Senior Vice President of Retail Banking Hal Wentworth said. “She has contributed greatly on a companywide scale, helping with the ongoing evolution of our branch training efforts and piloting our manager trainee program.”

Allenson is a graduate of Jamestown Community College and Hilbert College. She is a board member of Chautauqua Patrons Insurance, treasurer for Court Appointed Special Advocates of Chautauqua County and is a member of the United Way of Southern Chautauqua Allocations Committee. Allenson is also past president and board member for the Bemus Point Central School District.

She resides in Bemus Point, with her spouse and two children.
