Here are your latest Nottingham Forest transfer headlines with just over a week remaining of the January transfer window.

Cooper cools Spence interest

Boss Steve Cooper has brushed off speculation about the future of Nottingham Forest defender Djed Spence.

The Reds head coach insists it isn’t something he has paid attention to as he remains focused on getting the best out of the Middlesbrough loanee.

Spence is set to spend the full season at the City Ground, but has caught the eye of a number of clubs - at home and abroad - with some standout performances.

Given he has already played for Forest and Boro this term, he would be prevented from representing a third team.

But that hasn’t stopped the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Leeds United, Brentford, Southampton, Roma and Inter Milan all apparently taking an interest.

Arsenal encouraged

Former Nottingham Forest and Arsenal striker Kevin Campbell says the Gunners should be going all out to sign Djed Spence from Middlesbrough this summer.

Spence is currently on loan at Forest where he is currently thriving under head coach Steve Cooper and was superb in the Reds' 1-0 FA Cup victory over the Gunners earlier this month.

Since then, the full-back who can play as a winger has been linked with a move to the Premier League with Spurs and Arsenal both linked with a move.

And Campbell has been hugely impressed by Spence and believes it would be a good bit of business for boss Mikel Arteta to add him to the squad and replace Cedric Soares.

Scout signs on

Nottingham Forest have continued the reshaping of their recruitment department by bringing in a familiar face to Steve Cooper.

Cooper ally Andy Scott has joined the Reds as head of scouting after leaving Swansea, where he served as head of recruitment under the Forest boss.

Scott, a former Brentford and Rotherham manager is understood to have started his new role a week ago.

He was linked with recruitment roles at Middlesbrough, as well as Newcastle United, before being tempted to the City Ground.

A former Watford sporting director, Scott joined Swansea in July 2019 and spent almost two and a half years at the club.
