Hyderabad 6 held for providing fake RT-PCR test reports, COVID vaccination certificates

Hyderabad Police on January 21 busted a gang involved in providing fake COVID-19 negative reports and vaccine certificates. The Task Force cops (South) held as many as six persons in this regard. “In the first case, the accused tied up with a few labs. They tore the kits and sent dummy samples to these labs,” said Chakravarthy Gummi, Deputy Commissioner task force, Hyderabad. The gang charged Rs 2000 to 3000 for each negative RT-PCR report. The police recovered 65 fake vaccination certificates and 20 sample collection kits. Whereas in the second case, the accused had joined hands with a lab technician to get fake vaccination certificates, for which they charged Rs 800 to 1000. The police seized 50 fake vaccination certificates, 10 RT-PCR reports, and 2 cell phones.
