Tim Willcox's glamorous younger wife is divorcing him, according to new reports.

The 58-year-old BBC News presenter married Dr. Najah Al-Otaibi, 40, in 2019.

But one pal of the political analyst told the Daily Mail : "She's divorcing him. It's very acrimonious."

It's an extreme U-turn from the early days of their courtship when the dad-of-four reportedly gushed about the Saudi Arabian political expert to pals.

One source said at time: "Tim is very happy and has been gushing about Najah to his colleagues."

Willcox and Al-Otaibi declined to comment when approached by the publication.

Dr. Al-Otaibi often appears on BBC news programmes sharing insights about the political landscape in the Middle East.

The BBC News reader found himself in the headlines a year ago when it was revealed that he had been having an affair with his co-presenter, Sophie Long.

Both Tim and Sophie were married to other people at the time.

Tim was a guest when Sophie wed her childhood sweetheart in Cornwall two years ago, bringing along a trumpet to serenade the newlyweds.

Both presenters chose to leave their partners to embark on a new relationship together, with Tim reportedly telling his then-wife of 17 years Sarah that he was in love with his younger colleague.

But Tim and Sophie's relationship failed to go the distance, and they split in 2014.

He was then linked to another woman, Tessa Hardy, who he reportedly met while still involved with Sophie.

The Mirror has reached out to Tim Willcox's reps for comment.
