Scott McTominay goes full ‘royal rumble’ in carnage footage of Man United celebrating their last-gasp winner against West Ham

  • Marcus Rashford scored in the final minute to hand Man United a crucial win
  • United's players ran over to the corner flag to celebrate the goal as a team
  • Scott McTominay joined in but got his celebration wrong and went flying

Manchester United climbed into the top four of the Premier League on Saturday afternoon thanks to a last-minute goal from substitute Marcus Rashford against West Ham, sparking wild celebrations at Old Trafford.

With the match looking like it was going to end in a goalless stalemate, Edinson Cavani managed to stay just onside, and squared the ball for Rashford to tap home from close range.

Manchester United's official Twitter account, via @utdreport, captured footage of the players' reaction to the winning strike, and it is clear that this was a huge goal in the Red Devils' season.

As the video above shows, United's players were delighted to secure all three points, with Cavani and Rashford racing over to the corner flag to celebrate in front of the home fans.

They were soon joined by their teammates, including Scott McTominay, who perhaps got a little over-excited.

The Scotland international went piling in and tried to jump on Cavani, Rashford and Alex Telles, but badly mistimed his leap and went flying past the trio before hitting the deck.

His teammates did not seem too concerned, with the likes of Bruno Fernandes and Harry Maguire continuing to whip up the crowd at the Stretford End.

However, McTominay's ungainly fall did not go unnoticed by some fans, who saw the funny side of the 25-year-old's misfortune.

Replying to the original tweet, one fan wrote: 'Someone teach Scott McTominay how to celebrate.'

Another simply put: 'Mcsauce' followed by three laughing face emojis, while a fellow fan replied to a comment by writing 'Royal rumble' in reference to how McTominay's celebration resembled a WWE wrestler flying over the top rope.

McTominay's celebration technique could certainly use some work, but it's unlikely that he'll care too much after United sealed a huge victory that could put them on track to secure Champions League football for next season.
