Liverpool picked up a huge three points on Sunday, winning 3-1 away to Crystal Palace in their last Premier League game before Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane return from the Africa Cup of Nations.

Alisson put in a man of the match performance after withstanding attack after attack from the Eagles, while goals from Virgil van Dijk, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Fabinho made sure of the points for Jurgen Klopp's side.

Salah and Mane should be back for the next league game against Leicester City, as should Naby Keita, but there may be some more ins or outs before the transfer window shuts at the end of the month.

Liverpool haven't always been the busiest in January, and last season's moves for Ben Davies and Ozan Kabak may act as cautionary tales, but there have still been conversations around potential ins and outs for Klopp's squad.

Mirror Football brings you updates on some of the latest Liverpool transfer gossip, including reports of a continued interest in one of European football's top young talents.

Liverpool are keen to sign Eduardo Camavinga despite the midfielder having only joined Real Madrid from Rennes over the summer.

The 19-year-old has started just five times in La Liga after his summer switch, and was an unused substitute on Sunday as Carlo Ancelotti's side needed a late equaliser to rescue a point at home to Elche.

According to El Nacional (via The Echo), Liverpool are still hopeful of a deal for the French international after he has struggled to establish himself in the Spanish capital.

The report suggests Liverpool will wait as long as it takes to sign the youngster, despite the Spanish league leaders being in no hurry to sell.

Camavinga was heavily linked with Manchester United before opting for Real Madrid over the summer, but may need to be playing more regularly if he wants to feature for his country at the 2022 World Cup.

PSV expected to miss out on Phillips

Dutch high-flyers PSV Eindhoven are interested in Liverpool defender Nat Phillips, but reports in the Netherlands suggest their preference for a loan deal could count against them.

According to Eindhovens Dagblad (via Sport Witness), Roger Schmidt's side are keen to loan in the 24-year-old after losing summer signing Andre Ramalho to injury.

However, with Liverpool reportedly preferring a permanent sale, Premier League sides Watford and West Ham United are believed to leave the chase.

West Ham are looking for defensive reinforcements after Angelo Ogbonna suffered a season-ending injury over the summer.

The Hornets, meanwhile, are still looking for a first clean sheet of the season and dropped into the bottom three after losing to Norwich City on Friday night.

Mohamed Salah's Liverpool future remains in the balance, with the Premier League top scorer yet to agree a contract extension as he enters the last 18 months of his current deal.

The longer the Egyptian goes without renewing, the more the Reds will worry about potentially losing him for nothing in 2023, and former teammate Adam Lallana has pleaded with his former club to meet Salah's demands.

“Mo is a world class player, not just a world class player but a world class human,” Lallana, who played with Salah in the 2019-20 title-winning season, told Sky Sports.

“I was fortunate enough to play with him for three or for years. He’s very humble with the right amount of confidence and arrogance.

“‘His form over the last few years, the numbers he’s got is there for everyone to see so of course Liverpool are going to be desperate to keep him.

“Keep him for another three, four years maybe and I hope they can come to an agreement.”
