Hollywood actor calls for 'Premier League investigation' after controversial Liverpool penalty

There was plenty of controversy surrounding Liverpool's late penalty against Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon.

Patrick Vieira's side were incensed after Kevin Friend's decision to award a spot-kick for a foul on Reds forward Diogo Jota.

Fabinho made no mistake from 12 yards out to wrap up three points at Selhurst Park, but the conversation surrounding this incident did not end there.

Jamie Carragher and Gary Lineker were among those to question this decision, while there were also complaints over Liverpool's second goal and whether Roberto Firmino was active and offside as the ball was crossed to Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Among those to criticise the officials in the aftermath of the match was Hollywood actor Jim Piddock, who declared that Crystal Palace should lodge an investigation.
