Ahead of Punjab Assembly Polls, Punjab Lok Congress President and Former State Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on January 24 said that he got a request from Pakistan Prime Minister (Imran Khan) for inducting Navjot Singh Sidhu into his Cabinet. Singh also told that Imran Khan in his request said that he could remove Sidhu if he did not work. While addressing a Press Conference, he said, “Pakistan Prime Minister (Imran Khan) had sent a request if you can take (Congress Punjab president Navjot Singh) Sidhu into your Cabinet. I will be grateful, he is an old friend of mine. You can remove him if he did not work.” Punjab will go to the polls on February 20. The counting of votes will take place on March 10.
