The most-wishlisted game on Steam has gone gold
Elden Ring is one of the most anticipated games of 2022. The action RPG’s world is co-created by fantasy writer George RR Martin and game director Hidetaka Miyazaki and is the biggest game offering so far from FromSoftware Inc., the Japanese game studio on development duty, which is also the creative team behind the Dark Souls games. The game is set to launch on February 25 and it seems like the launch of the game is on schedule as the game has gone gold, as per a report by PC Gamer.
It means the main game has gone through all the checks and is ready to be launched both physically and digitally.
The report is based on an interview with FromSoftware's Yasuhiro Kitao during the Taipei Game Show. "Please be assured, the title will be ready for sale on February 25th," the report quotes Kitao.
As per Kitao’s inputs, the master version of the game has already been submitted and currently the developers are working on the day one patch, “to make sure everything in the game is just so.”, says the report. Also, as per the interview, the version of Elden Rinfg ready for release is different from the one some players got to try during the Elden Ring network test in November.
However, while the major parts of the game like the levelling system and the legacy dungeon areas of the game are the same, “"myriad small things have changed," like item flavor text being fixed and enemy placement being tweaked, adds the report. Also, the main version of the game will have the full character creator (the network one had only five classes) giving you plenty of options when it comes to designing your unique character build for the role playing game.
Come February 25 and Elden Ring will launch on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One and PC. It is the most wishlisted game on Steam currently.
