Punjab: IPS Dr Nitin Deep Blaggan bags President's police medal

In a moment of pride for Amritsar, city resident IPS Dr Nitin Deep Blaggan has been conferred upon the president's Police Medal for Meritorious Service on the occasion of Republic Day 2022.

LUDHIANA: In a moment of pride for Amritsar, city resident IPS Dr Nitin Deep Blaggan has been conferred upon the president's Police Medal for Meritorious Service on the occasion of Republic Day 2022.
Blaggan, who is currently serving as DIG, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) (AC-1), has done his schooling from city's DAV Public School and completed his MBBS from Government Medical College (GMC).
The 2003-batch IPS officer of Rajasthan cadre, Blaggan is serving in the CBI since October 2019 and under his supervision, the agency's anti corruption unit has cracked several high profile cases.
Prior to this charge at CBI, he was posted as DIG, SOG, Jaipur.
Notably, 29 officers and officials of the CBI have been awarded the president's Police Medal for Distinguished Service and Police Medal for Meritorious Service by the President of India Ram Nath Kovind on the occasion of Republic Day.
