Fans of ITV's Emmerdale were left delighted as Charity Dingle and Vanessa Woodfield start to make amends.

Tonight's (January 26) episode opened with Charity (played by Emma Atkins) and Vanessa (Michelle Hardwick) sharing a cheeky exchange in front of an angry Mack (Lawrence Robb).

The scene was welcomed by ITV viewers desperate for the former fiancees to get back together.

Emmerdale viewers took to Twitter to comment.

Kat tweeted: ""You’d do anything to get into my bedroom” NOOO the way vanessa didn’t even deny it."

Twitter user Brandon wrote: "I'm not being #funny but #Vanessa & #Charity belong together."

Emmerdale fan Shel said: "Charity and Vanessa forever I only like her with Vanessa but gosh she’s been awful to Ryan."

Le-Le added: "Charity called her 'Ness'" with an emoji of a smiley face surrounded by hearts.

Not all fans agreed, however, with Mags tweeting: "Charity & Vanessa? Don't think we need go there again....boring."

And Joe said: "Think I'd rather have Meena back than listen to Vanessa and Charity saga all over again."
