Calgary police seek suspect in northwest bank robbery

The man exited the bank after receiving an undisclosed sum of money from the staff

Calgary police are asking for help from the public in identifying a suspect in a bank robbery last week.

Police said in a news release Wednesday a man entered the TD Canada Trust branch located in the 4800 block of 32 Avenue N.W. around 11:40 a.m. on Jan. 20 and handed a robbery note to a staff member.

The man exited the bank after receiving an undisclosed sum of money from the staff.

Police released CCTV photos of the suspect. The man, described as approximately 40 years old and between five foot 11 and six feet tall, can be seen wearing a dark zip-up jacket, a flat-brimmed Toronto Blue Jays cap, faded blue jeans and navy slip-on shoes with white soles, as well as dark sunglasses.
