Madhepura: A trader was shot dead by motorcycle-borne criminals for resisting loot bid near Rasna bazaar under the Gwalpara police station area in
Madhepura district on Sunday evening.
The victim,
Arvind Sharma (42), a resident of Pachlak village in the neighbouring Saharsa district, was on way home on his motorcycle after closing his makeshift potato shop when the incident occurred.

Three motorcycle-borne criminals waylaid
Arvind and snatched cash and bike from him. The criminals shot him when he tried to resist. As Satto raised an alarm, locals rushed to the spot and took Arvind to a hospital, from where he was referred to Madhepura. Arvind, however, succumbed to bullet injuries on way to Madhepura hospital.

Mukesh Kumar said an FIR was lodged in connection with the incident and efforts were on to arrest those involved in the crime.
