Unnao and met her family. Later, Punia made girl’s mother talk to Congress’s national general secretary and UP in-charge
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on his mobile phone.
Priyanka consoled deceased girl’s mother and assured her justice.
Punia reached the house of the deceased girl in a pocket located in Sadar Kotwali police station area of Unnao and assured all possible help and justice to the girl’s mother.
Punia apprised the media that Priyanka has assured the victim’s mother that Congress party is with her in providing her justice. Punia also said that the police’s role was biased and acted negligently in the case. “His party is with victim’s family,” said Punia. As per Punia, mother of deceased while talking to Priyanka told her that she had appealed to the DM, SP, SDM, CO and even the MLA for the search of the daughter, but none paid any heed to her complaint, after which she had tried to self-immolate. “Priyanka has assured her that soon she will come to Unnao and meet her and fight for justice,” said Punia. The 22-year-old girl’s body was found buried in an SP leader’s field in Unnao district on Thursday.
