BIHARSHARIF: Miscreants allegedly looted jewellery worth more than Rs 10 lakh from a Nalanda jeweller on Tuesday night.
Raju Soni, an Islampur resident and owner of Laxmi Jewellers in Khudaganj, told cops that three miscreants on motorcycles overtook his bike near Shobha Bigha Bridge under the Khodaganj police station area on Tuesday night as he was returning home and snatched his bag, which contained gold ornaments worth more than Rs 10 lakh.

Khodaganj police station SHO Shrimant Kumar stated that an FIR had been lodged in this matter and that the investigation was ongoing.
This was the sixth instance of ornaments being stolen from Nalanda jewellers in the last month. On January 13, miscreants shot and killed Suman Kumar alias Santu, a Biharsharif jeweller, when he resisted their attempt to steal ornaments from his shop.
