Boy drowns in Hooghly

Kolkata: A 15-year-old boy from Behala, Arman Jha (15), drowned in the Hooghly around 2.30pm on Saturday while he was bathing in the river at Natherbagan Ghat. Arman was accompanied by his brother, Akshay, and nine friends. “Most of them were minors. Arman had ventured deeper into the river and failed to return. Local police, along with DMG personnel, carried out a search but could not trace the boy,” said DC (Port) Zafar Ajmal Kidwai.tnn
