Bihar: ‘Unstable’ man kills parents for Rs 2000 in Muzaffarpur, arrested

In a shocking incident, a mentally unstable person allegedly killed both his parents for not giving him Rs 2,000 as pocket money. The incident took place at Khutahin Bhataulia under Paroo police station area in Muzaffarpur on Saturday morning.

PATNA: In a shocking incident, a mentally unstable person allegedly killed both his parents for not giving him Rs 2,000 as pocket money. The incident took place at Khutahin Bhataulia under Paroo police station area in Muzaffarpur on Saturday morning. The accused, Ajay Sahni (32), also injured his sister-in-law. He was arrested and sent to jail.
According to the police sources, he was undergoing treatment at a Ranchi hospital and had recently returned to Muzaffarpur.

“The police received the information about the incident at 10.30am.Preliminary investigation shows that Ajay first attacked his parents with a small gas cylinder and later slit their throats with a sharp-edged weapon. There were bruises and multiple injuries on their heads as the accused smashed their heads with the gas cylinder,” Paroo police station SHO Rajendra Sah told TOI.
The deceased have been identified as Shambhu Sahni (70) and his wife Sharda Devi.
The police said Ajay attacked his parents while they were resting at home and his sister-in-law Jyoti was in the kitchen. “Hearing the screams, Jyoti tried to help the parents but she was also beaten up and injured. She somehow escaped from there and informed the villagers,” the police said.
