People familiar with the development said she was stopped on the basis of a Look out circular (LOC) issued by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) as she failed to comply with a summon issued by the agency. The central agency is probing her under money laundering charges and recently attached her properties.

Goa CM to present state budget on Wednesday
Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant will present the budget for the financial year 2022-23 before the state legislative Assembly on Wednesday, the last day of the ongoing session.
Sawant, who was sworn-in as the chief minister of the coastal state on Monday, will also face a confidence motion on the floor of the House.
As per the agenda, the chief minister will present the annual financial statement for the year 2022-2023 on the floor of the House. The government will also take a Vote on Account for the next four months.

Massive fire broken out in forests of Sariska Tiger Reserve in Alwar district of Rajasthan, IAF helicopters deployed to douse the fire.
"We were informed about fire 2 days ago. We took help of locals to control the fire. 9 sq. km of area is up in the flames as of now. We're trying to restrict the fire so that it doesn't engulf the valley. Damage will be ascertained once fire is doused," says Sudarshan Sharma, DFO, Alwar.
"As fire was massive, efforts of locals weren't enough. So we intimated the fire department in Jaipur. They deployed 2 choppers from Delhi to douse the fire. Areas having high tiger & rural people's population are our priority," says Sunita Pankaj, ADM, Alwar.

India's daily Covid tally drops slightly with 1,259 new cases
India on Tuesday saw a slight decrease in its daily Covid-19 tally after 1,259 new infections were registered in the last 24 hours, pushing the caseload to 4,30,21,982, according to the Union health ministry's dashboard.
