Khagaria: The long-cherished demand of the students of the region for an engineering college will be fulfilled very soon as its building is being constructed at
Alouli, 18km from the
Khagaria district headquarters.
The college campus, spread over 7.5 acres of land, is being developed by the building construction department with an estimated cost of Rs100 crore, out of which Rs30 crore is earmarked for equipment and other materials.
The construction work is likely to be completed by June-end this year.
The students of this institution, who were selected earlier, are at present attending classes at
Purnea engineering college in the absence of its own building and proper infrastructure at the proposed institution. The students would be transferred to Khagaria engineering college after the completion of the project and appointment of teachers.
