AURANGABAD: Two men on a motorcycle shot dead prominent builder
Sanjay Biyani (50) outside his bungalow in the Sharda Nagar area of
Nanded city, about 285km from here, on Tuesday morning. Biyani’s driver, who sustained a bullet injury in the attack, has been hospitalised.

Biyani arriving there in his SUV. As soon as the SUV stops, the two assailants wearing black clothes and masks arrive on a black motorcycle and halt a few feet ahead of the car.
When Biyani steps out to enter his bungalow, the two men rush towards him and fire a series of rounds at him. Biyani’s driver steps out of the car too and one of the assailants fires a round at him.
Police said the assailants fired 11 bullets in all. An offence was registered at the Vimantal police station of Nanded city for murder, attempt to murder and under sections of the Indian Arms Act.
During the panchanama, police found 10 empty cases of fired bullets while one bullet was intact. Footage showed that the assailants fired at Biyani’s head and chest from point-blank range. He and his driver were taken to hospital where the builder was declared brought dead.
