Unidentified miscreants struck terror in Sultanpur when they critically injured a hotel owner and escaped after snatching cash bag from him.
The sensational incident took place on Friday morning.
According to reports, two unidentified persons riding motorcycles shot at the hotel owner on the Kudwar Naka overbridge at Karaudian under Kotwali Nagar police station on Friday morning. They robbed the cash from the hotel owner and fled.

According to Superintendent of Police Dr Vipin Kumar Mishra, Amit Kumar, a resident of Vivek Nagar, has his own hotel near the bus stop. On his way home from the hotel on Friday morning as usual, two unidentified persons on a motorcycle shot at him at the Kudwar Naka overbridge. As Amit fell on the ground, the miscreants snatched the cash bag from him and escaped. He was admitted to hospital by the police.
The SP said that three police teams had been formed to investigate the incident and arrest the culprits.
Meanwhile, within a few hours of the killing of a BTech student in Aligarh, in another shocking incident in Saharanpur, a class 10 student was shot dead by schoolmates after a tiff over Instagram.
The deceased was identified as Vansh Panwar.
Police said the victim was shot dead outside the school in the city. The victim was studying in Gochar Krishi Inter College near Delhi Road at Rampur Maniharan.
