Major accident in Deoria late last night, 6 died

Deoria: A horrific road accident took place in the Deoria district of Uttar Pradesh on Monday night. A private bus collided head-on with a Bolero near Indupur village under the Gauri Bazar police station area on Gauribazar-Rudrapur road at around 10 pm on Monday night. Six people died and five others were injured in the accident.

CM Yogi Adityanath has condoled the loss of lives in a road accident in the Deoria district. He conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families of the deceased and directed the officials to provide proper treatment to the injured. Among the deceased, four of the Bolero riders were from Kushinagar district and one was a resident of Deoria district. One of the deceased on the bus could not be identified till late in the night. The injured have been admitted to the district hospital. One of them is a resident of Rudrapur village in Deoria and four from Kohara village of Kushinagar. The condition of three is critical.

All of them had gone to Raisri village in Rudrapur with the tilak of the daughter of Ravindra Tiwari, a resident of Kohada village under Kasya police station of Kushinagar district. Tilak was going back in the night after the programme. At around 10 o'clock, the Bolero collided with a speeding bus coming from the opposite direction near Indupur. The bus was going from Gorakhpur to Rudrapur. Ramprakash Singh son of Ayodhya Singh, a resident of Kohara village riding a Bolero, Vashishtha Singh son of Faujdar, Jokhan Singh son of Satyanarayan, Ankur Pandey son of Devdutt Pandey, resident of Sari village Thana Kasya, Ramanand Maurya son of Budhu Prasad, resident of Rampur Factory Deoria died on the spot. The deceased, who was on the bus, could not be identified till late in the night.
