Ganjam district bags six national panchayat awards
Ganjam district has bagged six National Panchayat Awards 2022 announced by the ministry of panchayati raj for improving delivery of services and public goods, outstanding contribution to socio-economic development and adopting child-friendly practices.

While Hinjili and Sheragada blocks and Saru and Kelluapallu panchayats under Hinjili and Rangeilunda blocks respectively bagged the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Panchayat Sashaktikaran Puraskar (DDUPSP) instituted by the ministry this year, Mahupadar and Kainchapur panchayats in Sheragada and Ganjam blocks have been selected for the Nanaji Deshmukh Rashtriya Gaurav Gram Sabha Puraskar (NDRGGSP) and Child Friendly Gram Panchayat Award (CFGPA) respectively.TNN
