Jamshedpur RPF rescues passenger at Tatanagar station

Jamshedpur, April 23: Alert Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel saved the life of a passenger trying to board Ispat Express at Tatanagar railway station on Saturday, sources said.

The incident occurred around 3.32 pm when Ispat Express was about to depart platform no. 5. The passenger, Prabhanshu Shekhar, traveling from Bargarh to Kharagpur, had got down from the train to fetch water. While he was still at the platform, the train started moving. Rushing to catch the train, Prabhanshu tried to board it, but suddenly lost his balance and started falling into the narrow gap between the train and the platform. Just then Sub Inspector RA Singh and ASI AL Rajak who happened to watch the incident sprang towards the train and pulled Prabhanshu safely away from the gap. The train was soon stopped for Prabhanshu, sources said.

RPF officials said the two alert cops would be rewarded for their bravery and dutifulness.
