Shivraj govt alerted on Eid and Parshuram Jayanti, orders prayers at home in Khargone

Khargone: The Shivraj Singh Chouhan government in Madhya Pradesh has decided to offer Eid prayers at home after violence broke out during the Ram Navami procession on April 10 in Khargone town, while no procession will be allowed to be held on Parshuram Jayanti. ADM Sumer Singh Mujalda said that, in Khargone, relaxation will be given on Sunday, May 1, between 8 am and 5 pm and on May 2 and 3, curfew will be imposed in full measure. Students appearing for the exam will be given passes. There will be no programmes on Akshaya Tritiya and Parshuram Jayanti.   

Khargone Additional Collector Sumer Singh Mujalda has informed that according to the circumstances, the decision may be changed by the administration. At the same time, prayers will be offered at home on Eid. At the same time, processions on Parshuram Jayanti will also be banned. While on Akshaya Tritiya, those who get married will be allowed to go out during the relaxation before 5 pm on May 1. While the examination will be issued near the students who are appearing. Superintendent of Police Rohit Kashwani said that the police are on full alert about the upcoming eid festivals in Khargone and other festivals, additional police force has also been called from outside.

Kashwani said that on the basis of interrogation of Toofan Singh Sikligar, who was arrested by the police during his remand, the police have recovered a pistol along with pistol making material from village Siganur village under Gogawan police station area. The accused, Tufan Singh, has been sent to jail in judicial custody after interrogation. The administration and the police are on full alert for the upcoming festivals.
