Bhopal: A case of mob lynching has been heard in Seoni district of MP on Tuesday. On suspicion of beef smuggling, three tribals were beaten up with sticks to such an extent that two of them lost their lives, while a youth was seriously injured. The case is of Badal Par Chowki area under Kurai police station. The police force reached the spot as soon as the information about the murder and rioting was received. Dhanshah (54) and Sampat Batti (60) of Sagar and Simaria villages of Kurai were thrashed to death by some youths with sticks.

In the case of murder of tribal youths in MP, the Congress has formed a 3-member investigation team, which is going to go to the incident site on Wednesday and submit the report to State Congress President Kamal Nath. Congress has also accused Bajrang Dal workers of murder. Police have also arrested 9 accused who beat 3 tribals with sticks in the apprehension of smuggling of beef in Seoni, MP. Police have found around 12 kg of meat from the spot. On Tuesday, three tribals were beaten up by some youths on the suspicion of smuggling beef in Seoni, meanwhile two tribals lost their lives while one was admitted to the hospital in a critical condition.

After the incident, angry villagers have also blocked the Jabalpur-Nagpur National Highway. This has led to a long traffic jam on the road. On receiving the information, Kakodia of Barghat MLA Arjun Singh had also gone to Kurai. He has also alleged that the accused are workers of Bajrang Dal.
