Khargone: The communal violence that broke out on Ram Navami in Khargone, Madhya Pradesh, shook the entire nation. Several houses and shops were burnt in the violence and many were injured during stone-pelting and arson. After these riots, the political turmoil here has intensified after the death of two tribals in the mob lynching in Seoni in the past few days. Congress, in particular, is trying to make way for the 2023 assembly elections by applying political ointment to the wounds of the Khargone riot victims. But his efforts have been dealt a severe blow.

In fact, senior leaders of the party had reached Khargone to show sympathy to the riot victims and take them in their favour, but they had to return from there uninterruptedly. The people flatly refused to sympathise with Congress. The Congress had formed an investigation team comprising former ministers and MLAs Sajjan Singh Verma, Bala Bachchan, Dr Vijayalakshmi Sadho, MLAs Ravi Joshi and Jhuma Solanki, former minister Mukesh Naik, former MP Gajendra Singh Rajukhedi to probe the Khargone riots.
When the team reached the Malipura area of Khargone, people questioned the Congress leaders for their late arrival and told them about their rudeness. Among those who protested were some Muslims who were shouting at congress leaders, saying, "You will make our children terrorists, you will make Hindus fight them." At the same time, the women were so angry that congress leaders thought it appropriate to return on the back foot. Vijayalakshmi Sadho also had a heated argument with some people, while Sajjan Singh Verma did not argue as the atmosphere was not good and came out of the place smiling. The video of the incident is now going viral on social media.
