Singrauli: Action against encroachment on government land continues unabated in the Singrauli district these days. On Saturday, once again a bulldozer was fired at the encroached building in the market of Karsua Raja village in the Mada subdivision. In fact, in a joint action of the revenue department and the police, government land worth 2 crores was freed from the possession. It is being said that the land was encroached upon by dozens of people. At the same time, the outpost in-charge Priyanka Mishra said that one acre of land of the government in the Karsua Raja village market was encroached upon by a dozen people.

Earlier, they were given the notice to vacate the land, but even after that, they did not remove the encroachments. As per the warning given in the notice, the houses and shops constructed by encroaching on the drive were carried out on Saturday. At the same time, she further said that action against encroachment on government land will continue in the direction of the collector. At the same time, the outpost in-charge Priyanka Mishra says that a two-storey building with more than a dozen shops on government land has been demolished by encroaching. Two residential houses were also razed to the ground.

At the same time, the SDM had earlier declared all the constructions illegal and despite this, the building for the shop was being prepared by encroaching their presence also. There was no protest from the villagers during the drive to demolish the encroachment, so a large police force was deployed as a precautionary measure. Tahsildar Sumit Gupta, SDOP Rajiv Pathak, Mada TI Nagendra Pratap Singh, outpost in-charge Priyanka Mishra and other officials were present at the spot for the entire time.
