Yavatmal becomes Covid-free again, 3 cases in Wardha
Nagpur: The only patient that was detected in Yavatmal after 48 Covid-free days recovered on Tuesday, making the district Covid-free again. Yavatmal joined Amravati, Akola, Gadchiroli, Gondia and Bhandara as the Vidarbha districts with no Covid patients.
On the other hand, Wardha, which was Covid-free for 10 days, got three new patients on Tuesday. Nagpur reported two new cases — both from Nagpur city — while Chandrapur reported one case, making it six new cases in Vidarbha.

With one patient recovering in Yavatmal, the number of patients under treatment in the region increased to 26. All of them are recovering in home isolation.
As many as 2,771 tests were conducted in the region in last 24 hours. The test count has increased a bit, but is still lower than the expected average. With six of them testing positive, the test positivity rate is 0.21%, which is comfortably below the danger mark. Vidarbha region’s recovery rate is also above 98.3%, which is good. No Covid death has been reported in the 10 days of May.
In Nagpur, 622 tests were conducted, with 456 of them in city and 166 in district. The two new cases took the number of active cases in the district to 12. Out of them, 11 are in Nagpur city and only one patient is in rural.
