Rajgarh: Clashes broke out after a land dispute between two parties in Karedi village of Rajgarh district of Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday night. Late night there was stone pelting on both sides. A house was set on fire. Due to the dispute, the vehicles of Rajgarh SDM, Tehsildar and police who reached the spot were vandalized. Thereafter, the SP reached the spot and the entire village was converted into a police cantonment by calling force from Guna, Sehore. Late in the night, Bhopal Range IG Irshad Wali also reached the spot. There was a ruckus last night in Karedi village, 15 km from Rajgarh district headquarters.

Let us tell you that there is a dispute between Allaveli living in the village and former sarpanch Mohan Verma over land. On Wednesday evening, Mohan was going from village to Rajgarh. A short distance away from the village, Allaveli's sons Golu and Aslam stopped Mohan. Aslam abused Mohan and then both the brothers attacked Mohan on the head with an iron rod. Mohan fainted and fell on the ground. Nearby people gave information to Mohan's house. When Mohan's brother Hokam Chand Verma reached there, Allaveli and his sons Alsam, Golu and other persons started beating Hokam as well. Hokam was also injured in the fight, which people got admitted to the hospital.

A huge crowd gathered on the spot as soon as the information about the incident of Mohan and Hokam's assault was received. The angry mob set fire to Allaveli's house and broke the glass of three motorcycles parked there and the car. As soon as the news of the uproar in the village reached the police-administration team from Rajgarh, angry persons pelted stones at Khilchipur SDM Pallavi Vaidya, Rajgarh Tehsildar and Rajgarh Kotwali police station vehicles. Rajgarh SP Pradeep Sharma, District Magistrate Harsh Dixit reached Karedi village on receiving the news of increasing commotion. Additional police forces were called in from nearby police stations as well as Guna, Sehore districts. In the night, Karedi village was converted into a police cantonment. On the other hand, Bhopal IG Irshad Wali also reached Kareri village in the night to inspect the situation. The police have identified the culprits who created the ruckus. At present, the first task of the administration is to maintain peace in the village.
