Gaya: Magadh divisional commissioner Mayank Warwade on Saturday held a meeting to review issues related to health, land acquisition, illegal sand mining, land revenue collection, institutional delivery and others.
On the information that most of the patients are referred without conducting their proper check-up, divisional commissioner directed the civil surgeons to randomly check the referral report of patients.
He also asked them to initiate action against doctors and the healthcare staff, who remain absent for more than one week without prior information.
He directed to issue show cause to the medical officer in-charge of the health centres showing poor performance in institutional delivery.
During the meeting, revenue department officials informed that around Rs 2.1 crore have been realised as penalty from illegal sand miners in Gaya, Jehanabad, Aurangabad, Nawada and Arwal districts. Total Rs 58 lakh fine has been realised in Gaya, Rs 55 lakh in Aurangabad, Rs 46 lakh in Arwal, Rs 33 lakh in Jehanabad and Rs 18 lakh in Nawada district against illegal sand mining. He directed mining officers to conduct raids with the help of police officials on the information of illegal mining from any sand ghat. The commissioner also issued directives to the DMs to prepare a work plan to get rid of traffic congestion in their respective districts. He asked the DMs to get mapping of the underground water level at regular interval in the tolas having water crisis.
While review the status of online mutation, it was informed that 153411 online applications have been accepted in Gaya, 91105 in Aurangabad, 103770 in Nawada, 43272 in Jehanabad and 20330 in Arwal district. He also asked the district education officers to make a list of schools not having their own buildings. “If building of any school is in dilapidated condition, tag it with the nearest school to run classes,” the DC said.
