New Covid cases recorded in 5 districts

Nagpur: Gadchiroli, Washim, Yavatmal and Wardha districts reported one case each on Sunday. This is apart from the four new cases in Nagpur district. The day’s caseload went up to 8. On the other hand, only 3 patients recovered, all were from Nagpur. With more cases and fewer recoveries, the number of under treatment patients further increased to 36, the highest in the last two weeks.
The month of May has so far provided a relief of sorts as only 55 cases were reported with 36 recoveries in the last 15 days. No death was reported.
After being Covid-free for a long time, Yavatmal reported one case. Wardha continued to report a new case which took the total active cases in the district to six which is the highest in Vidarbha after Nagpur (13).
In all, 2,337 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours in Vidarbha. The highest number of tests (414) were conducted in Yavatmal followed by 409 in Nagpur. In all, 371 tests were conducted in Nagpur city alone. Out of the four patients who were reported in the last 24 hours, two were from Nagpur city, 1 from Nagpur rural and 1 from other state. In all, 13 patients in Nagpur district are in home isolation.
