Lucknow: Hitting out at the ruling
BJP for creating animosity between various religious groups by targeting sites linked to one particular religion,
BSP chief
Mayawati on Wednesday warned people against supporting such action as it would “not be good for anyone”.
Accusing the BJP of inciting communal passions in an effort to take attention away from rising poverty, unemployment and sky rocketing inflation, Mayawati said that the situation could deteriorate any time.
“BJP and its associates are conspiring under the garb of Gyanvapi masjid, the
Mathura dispute and the
Taj Mahal to inflame people’s religious feelings. This will not strengthen the country ” she said.
The former UP CM also said that the way names of a religious sites associated with a certain religion are being changed one by one, it would only build hate in the country.
