After adding West Virginia and Bowling Green to his list of potential suitors, he also added Kent State later in the evening. That pushed his list to four after also collecting UConn earlier this year.
The 5-foot-9, 170 pounder can play both running back and cornerback.
“(Colleges) like him at both (running back and corner) right now,” CD East coach Lance Deane told PennLive back in January when Porter got his first offer. “Obviously, we had Marcel (McDaniels) this year (at running back), but he played some running back and started at cornerback for us. Just being a freshman, and with what we ask of our defensive backs, being able to be disciplined and to play with a swagger … he is a wrestler so the mentality is there for him.
“He earned it and he still has so much more he can improve on and he wants to get so much better so it’s exciting,” he continued. “He’s just going to keep getting better, too, because he’s a hard worker.”
