A soothingly cool May in Kalaburagi

Kalaburagi: Those accustomed to a more temperate climate take care not to visit Kalaburagi in the month of May, given that the maximum temperature could reach 45 degrees Celsius, since that is when summer peaks in the district. However, the North Karnataka district is currently enjoying a cool spell, and the maximum temperature being recorded is under 30 degrees Celsius, much to the delight of the residents, for whom the dip in the mercury level is a welcome relief from the harsh, unforgiving summers they are accustomed to.
Incessant rain for the past three days, coupled with overcast conditions, has resulted in the temperatures receding markedly. In addition to showers in the evening, the mornings are proving foggy, people are relishing their morning walk. Meanwhile, the pre-monsoon showers have prompted the farmers to start their preparations for sowing activity early.
