BISMARCK — A man died the morning of Friday, May 27, in a fatal rollover crash about 40 miles southwest of Minot that also left two 13-year-old girls injured.

Nathan Joel Wohlk, a 42-year-old man from Ryder, was driving a Nissan Xterra with two 13-year-old passengers on Ward County Road 24 around 11 a.m. on Friday, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol. The vehicle encountered a "slow-moving row crop sprayer traveling in the same direction," the Highway Patrol said.

The vehicle drove into the right ditch as it approached the crop sprayer, faulting off the approach and overturning "end-over-end," the Highway Patrol said. Wohlk was partially ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt.

Both girls were wearing seat belts and were injured, the Highway Patrol said. The two were transported to Minot's Trinity Hospital, one by ambulance and the other by helicopter. The road conditions were dry and clear, according to the Highway Patrol.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
