New Delhi: In view of the increasing demand for goods trains, Indian Railways has decided to lay a separate line for goods trains. This line will connect Mumbai to Uttar Pradesh. Meanwhile, the country's longest railway bridge is being built over the Narmada river near Bharuch in Gujarat, the work of which is in its final stages. The length of this bridge is being told as 1396.35 meters.

A separate line is being laid by the Ministry of Railways for goods train from Mumbai JNPT (Jawaharlal Nehru Port) to Dadri in Uttar Pradesh, which has been named Western Dedicated Freid Corridor, this entire corridor will be of 1504 km. At present, the line up to Palanpur has started in Gujarat and in the next few months the line up to Vadodara will also be operational. For this corridor, a railway bridge is being prepared on the Narmada river near Bharuch. It is being told that this will be the longest bridge in the country, on which double-decker goods trains will run.

The bridge being built on the Narmada river is 1396.35 meters i.e. about one and a half kilometer long. This could be the longest bridge in the country. This bridge has a total of 29 spans and the last girder was installed on it just a few days ago. This bridge is being built by L&T Company. Goods train will run from this with a capacity of 15000 tonnes, whose speed will be around 100 to 120 km.
