Kanpur: An assistant general manager (
AGM) of
Reserve Bank of India, Kanpur, and his wife were killed in a road accident on the Agra-Kanpur National Highway in Etawah on Sunday midnight.
The mishap took place after the AGM’s car collided with a culvert near the ‘dhaba’ in the Bakewar police station area at around 2.30 am.
With the help of passers-by and the local people, the police pulled the couple out of the car and rushed them to a nearby hospital, but doctors declared them brought dead.

Kusuma Devi, 48, were returning from their relatives place in Agra to Kanpur by car.
In Kanpur, they lived in the Tilak Nagar area. Around 2.30 am, the car in which they were travelling, collided with a culvert near Varuna Dhaba in Bakewar police station area.
“The identification of the victims was done with the help of the voter card and bank ID card found from their possession. Their family members were informed about the tragedy. Further investigations are on,” said SSP
