Ahmedabad: Two traumatic accidents that took place in Vadodara, Gujarat today destroyed two families. The first incident took place at Lunawada in Mahisagar district, where 4 members of the same family (parents and two children) lost their lives in a collision between a truck and a bike. At the same time, five people of the same family died due to drowning in the Karjan river of Mandan village of Nandod taluka.

Mandan village of Nandod taluka of Narmada district attracts a large number of tourists from the surrounding area to admire the natural beauty and bathe in the river. For this reason, 5 members of a family resident of Jolwa village of Bharuch district had come here to roam. To get relief from the heat, everyone started bathing in the river. In the meantime, when the younger son started drowning in the river, to save him, one by one the other four members also went deep into the river and all died due to drowning. One body was retrieved by the swimmers by noon. After this, the SDRF team started searching and took out the other 4 dead bodies.

The deceased included 35-year-old Janaksinh Balwant Singh Parmar, 32-year-old Jignishaben Janak Singh Parmar, 27-year-old Veerpalsinh Parvatsinh Chauhan and 24-year-old Khushiben/Sangitaben Veerpalsinh Chauhan and 8-year-old Poorvaraj Janak Singh Parmar. All are residents of Jolwa village in Bharuch district. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and took all the bodies in possession and sent them to the hospital for postmortem, whose report is awaited.
