How did the Kanpur violence break out?

On June 3, after the Jumei prayers, Islamic fundamentalists pelted stones in Kanpur Dehat. Many people were injured in it. In fact, the hardline Muslims were upset with the alleged statement made by former Delhi BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma about Prophet Muhammad. For this reason, he announced a shutdown on Friday. When the other side refused to join the strike, Muslim miscreants started pelting stones. It spread to several areas including the Parade, New Road and Yatimkhana. The police also had to wield sticks to control the frenzied crowd. On the same day, PM Narendra Modi and President Ram Nath Kovind were also on a visit to Kanpur.
