Ganjam’s rural waste mgmt impresses central team

Berhampur: A team from the Centre was in Ganjam district on Tuesday to take stock of its open-defecation free status ahead of the declaration of ODF Plus — an extension of ODF under the Swachh Bharat Mission (rural). The district administration aims to get the ODF Plus tag for at least 250 of its villages and two blocks — Hinjili and Ganjam — by the end of this month. Led by Anupama Singh, director of Swachh Bharat Mission (rural), the team, including Unicef officials, visited villages in Hinjili and Chhatrapur blocks on Tuesday.tnn
