Lucknow: A son shot dead his mother in UP's capital Lucknow. It is not long since this incident that in Betul in Madhya Pradesh, a daughter also killed the mother who gave birth to her. The police have taken the accused daughter and her husband into custody. Betul SP Simla Prasad said that a body was found lying in a sack on June 6 in the forest along the highway under the Ranipur police station area. When the police reached the spot, they found that the body was rotten and the bore had started stinking. When the sack was opened, there was the body of the elderly woman wrapped in polythene inside, which looked about 6-7 days old. During the investigation, the deceased was identified as 60-year-old Bhagrati Jharvade resident Pathakheda.  

The police action revealed that Bhagirathi had been making her living for a few days at her younger daughter Usha Waikar's house in Betul. Bhagirathi had sold a plot, from which she has also received an amount of 5 lakh 82 thousand rupees. She had deposited the amount in the account of her daughter Usha Waikar. Bhagirathi wanted to give this amount half to her two daughters, but the younger daughter's mind was lured. The younger daughter Usha did not want to give money to her elder sister. On May 29, there was also a dispute between the mother and the daughter over the same issue and during that time, the daughter hit the mother's head with a stone, which led to the loss of her life. After which Usha, with the help of her husband Karan Waikar, wrapped the body in polythene and stuffed it in a sack and threw it in the forest on the side of the highway.

When the elder daughter's mother did not speak for a few days, she asked younger sister Usha about the mother. Usha has made up a false story saying that her mother had gone to Narmadapuram (Hoshangabad), where she drowned while bathing in the Narmada river and her missing complaint was lodged at the Narmadapuram police station. However, during police interrogation, the younger daughter was shattered and she confessed to killing her mother. After admitting to the crime, the police detained Usha Waikar and her husband Karan and sent them to jail.
