- The Minister said that India abides by 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' (the world is one family). "We presented our stand while keeping in mind the fundamental principles of sustainable development goals. We raised the concern of developing and underdeveloped countries," he said.
- He also said that India, “strongly” believes that the WTO should not negotiate rules on non-trade-related subjects like climate change and gender.
- He said the much-delayed issue of permanent solution for public stockholding should be the topmost priority WTO before moving to new areas.
- Goyal said, "Fighting for rights of our farmers within an hour of landing at WTO, Geneva at the G33 Ministerial Meeting. Discussed prospects of a permanent solution to public stockholding for food security with DG Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and my counterparts from the developing and least developed nations."

Brokerage Elara Capital expects media rights for the Indian Premier League (IPL) to soar up to three to four times to Rs about 50,000-60,000 crore in the next cycle - which is 2023-2028.
