Singrauli: 54-year-old man killed in Tehsil Chitrangi. Police have arrested one of the accused and imprisoned him in four walls of the jail. It is also being told that due to a small dispute, such a big incident took place.    

The accused asked the deceased to get up from the cot but when he did not get up, he started raining sticks and then stabbed him to death with a knife. Chitrangi police have arrested the accused who committed the murder. After registering a case under various sections and producing the accused in the court, he has also been given pulses in the lock-up.

DN Raj (SHO) said that the deceased, Kaira Singh God, stopped at a shop to get tobacco at Naugai Bazaar but due to the absence of the shopkeeper, he sat on the same cot and waited. When the accused Phool Singh asked the deceased to get up from the cot, he refused. Over this, the accused Phool Singh started beating Kaira Singh with sticks.   

Hearing the sound of the incident, the children of the deceased and the people around them came to the rescue. But by then, the accused had stabbed the deceased several times in the face and killed him and fled from the spot. On being informed about the incident, Chitrangi police reached the spot and inspected the spot and started investigating the matter. In a short time, Chitrangi police arrested the accused, produced him in court and put him behind bars.
