A government primary school is gaining lot of traction due to its abundant greenery in Keethot village of Uttar Pradesh's Firozabad. The headmaster of the school Mohammad Shahid along with the students has grown innumerable flowers, fruits and vegetables spreading over 5500 square feet. These are over 300 species of plants in the school garden. Earthen pots are kept for birds to quench their thirst. The school has resorted to rainwater harvesting technique to store water. The headmaster was posted in this school in 2011 and started gardening as his hobby in the school premises. Today, the school has earned quite a reputation and villagers of nearby areas also send their kids here. Headmaster Mohammad Shahid has set an example for other government schools to follow.
