BHUBANESWAR: Union tribal affairs minister
Arjun Munda, who was on his two-day Odisha visit, on Monday announced inclusion of villages of
Kalahandi in the new
Pradhan Mantri Adi Adarsh Gram Yojana.
Objective of this new scheme is to ensure that the programmes and schemes introduced by all the 41 ministries of the central government should be coordinated and implemented properly at the bottom level.
He advised the central and state government officials to work in coordination in a bid to reach out to the last mile beneficiary.
He said that a total of 740 Ekalavya Vidyalayas are being constructed in different parts of the country and efforts are on to improve the quality of learning and impart education at these schools in line with the ones like CBSE.
The Union minister met a women self-help group of
Kutia Kondh in Kalahandi district and visited a government school in Bhatangpadar in this district.
