Narsinghpur: In view of the municipal elections, the announcement of candidates is going on in the last round, due to which revolt can also be seen in both the parties. Both the BJP and Congress are busy releasing the lists of their councilor candidates. In the same episode, today Narsinghpur District President has released the list of BJP candidates in Narsinghpur Nagar Palika Parishad.

 

When will the civic elections happen?

The nomination process for the civic polls has started which will continue till June 18. After nomination, the scrutiny of nomination papers will be done on June 20. The last date for withdrawal of nominations is June 22. The allotment of election symbol will be done on this date. Voting for the first phase of Madhya Pradesh civic polls 2022 will be held on July 6. Whereas for the second phase, votes will be cast on July 13. The election results will be announced on July 17 and 18.

Candidates can enroll for urban body elections through both offline and online mode. In the first phase of civic polls, votes will be cast for 11 municipal corporations, 36 municipal councils, 86 city councils. In the second phase, voting will be held for 5 municipal corporations, 40 municipalities and 169 municipal councils. For the civic polls, 19,977 polling stations have been set up across the state. In Alirajpur, Mandla and Dindori districts, elections will be held here later due to non-completion of the tenure of the bodies.
