Lucknow: A new case of love jihad has come to light in Agra district of Uttar Pradesh. The Hindu woman alleges that 9 years ago, a Muslim youth living in Farah, Mathura, Ikrar married her as a Hindu Amit. Now after so many years his truth is open that he is a Muslim youth. The woman accused him of marrying her by trapping her in a false love trap, now he is forcibly pressurizing her to become a Muslim. Not only this, he also wants to change the name of his children and get them circumcised.
In this regard, the Hindu victim has filed a case against her husband Ikrar at Jagdishpura police station in Agra under section of the Fraudulent and Conversion Act. On the basis of the FIR, the police has arrested him. According to media reports, Inspector Devendra Shankar Pandey, in-charge of Jagdishpura police station in Agra, told that Ikrar, a resident of Farah, had married a girl from Jagdishpura area in the year 2013. At that time he had given his name as Amit, and married according to Hindu customs. Now he has two sons. After 9 years of marriage, the girl came to know about the real name of the young man, Ikrar.
According to the police, the matter came to light when Ikrar started pressurizing the Hindu girl to convert to Islam. The accused is saying that he will live in his society according to his religion. Even the names of the two sons were also put under pressure to be changed and circumcised. On Saturday (June 18, 2022), the girl came to the police station. On the complaint of the girl, necessary action was taken by registering a case under fraud, conversion act and other sections. Police have started interrogation by taking the accused into custody.
At the same time, according to another media report, it is being told that the victim came to know about her husband being a Muslim in the year 2021. Since then she was making rounds of the police station several times. But she was banished from the police station by the former inspector several times, while on Saturday once again when the woman came to the police station, she was heard.
